A few words about me — and this space.
about
I’m Polina Zolotukhina — an artist and designer working across ceramics, installation, textile, and sculptural forms. I was born in 1998 in Tatarstan and now live between Almaty.

In my work, I explore how physical materials carry emotional weight — how objects can hold traces of care, memory, or pressure. I’m drawn to moments where softness meets structure, where something fragile resists or yields. I think through hands, through materials, and through the space between distance and contact.

Alongside my art practice, I create small ceramic series under the name Ёfiyal. These pieces are meant to be lived with — tactile, quiet, sometimes irregular — and still part of the same ongoing process. I don’t really separate the utilitarian from the emotional. This site reflects both sides of what I do.

I studied philology at Moscow State University and came to visual work through a need for form — a way to speak when words feel too flat. I care about slowness, collaboration, and staying close to what feels real.
